Salutations. Welcome to the Fucked-Up World of The Drug Apostles, an Experimental Punk Band
The Drug Apostles are an experimental punk band and noise project operating out of Château d’If in Iola, Kansas. With roots in the Southern California punk scene going back to 1980, their music combines hardcore punk, post-punk, noise rock, industrial music, EDM, disco, hip-hop and spoken word. Aggressive guitars, heavy sub-bass, samples and dark, dystopian storytelling collide in what they call Sonic Vandalism.
The drums provide the pulse. The bass supplies the weight. The guitars bring the aggression. The vocals tell the story, while samples, keyboards and effects add color to the damage. The result is experimental rock that refuses to behave. Influenced by artists including Crass, Rudimentary Peni, Throbbing Gristle, Sonic Youth, John Cooper Clarke and Current 93, The Drug Apostles create music that is confrontational, unpredictable and deliberately difficult to categorize.
The band is currently working on the EP Me Gusta la Mala Vida, featuring the completed track Racing Thoughts. Everything follows one rule. Chaos must be in harmony.
